An Iowa woman is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Lake Township, officials confirmed.

Killed in the Thursday night crash was Linda Moore, of Des Moines, who was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. Her husband, Ronald Moore, was also admitted to the hospital with "severe injuries," but was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.

The crash, reported at 8:35 p.m., occurred when the couple's sedan collided with an SUV at State Rt. 420 and Libbey Road, said troopers from the Bowling Green post of the State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said Mr. Moore was traveling south on Route 420 and was turning left onto Libbey when his car was struck by an oncoming SUV driven by Albert Zablocki, 53, of Northwood.

After impact, Mr. Moore’s vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway. Mrs. Moore was trapped in the vehicle and was freed by township emergency personnel, who transported her and her husband to the hospital.

Mr. Zablocki along with Angela Zablocki, 53, of Northwood, and Alicia Zablocki, 11, of Toledo, were taken to Bay Park Hospital for minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
