LAMBERTVILLE — Monroe County sheriff’s deputies Thursday were looking for a man they say robbed a Bedford Township bank wearing a skeleton-style ski mask.

The robbery at Fifth Third Bank, 3559 Sterns Rd. was reported at 9:06 a.m.

Witnesses told deputies an armed man entered the bank, showed a teller his gun, and demanded cash. The employee gave the suspect an undetermined amount of money, and the suspect fled into a wooded area west of the bank.

The suspect was described by police as thin, about 6 feet tall, and wearing the mask.

There were several customers in the bank at the time of the robbery; no one was hurt.

Officials ask that anyone with information call the detective bureau at 734-840-7530.
