Ohio Highway Patrol investigative theft of boat, trailer in Huron
7/6/2013HURON, Ohio -- The Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating the theft of a boat and trailer that were parked along State Rt. 2 in Erie County on Wednesday or Thursday.
The boat and trailer were left behind on the freeway's westbound shoulder east of State Rt. 61 in Berlin Township on Tuesday when the tow vehicle broke down, troopers at the patrol's Erie post said. They were gone when their owner returned to retrieve the trailer Thursday.
The 20-foot long 1971 Wellcraft boat is unnamed and was on a blue, homemade boat trailer, troopers said.
