KANSAS, Ohio — A tornado touched the ground east of this Seneca County community Monday night, blowing a roof off a mobile home, overturning a trailer, and snapping trees, authorities said.

Trained spotters reported the incident just after 9 p.m. between Kansas and Bettsville, according to the Seneca County Sheriff's Office. There were no injuries, sheriff deputies said.

The tornado was clocked at wind speeds of 75 miles per hour and landed near the intersection of State Rt. 635 and Township Road 36 about one mile southeast of Kansas, according to the National Weather Service in Cleveland. The path of damage was no more than 100 yards long and 15 yards wide.

The tornado was classified as an EF0, the lowest rating.
