Ohio Highway Patrol announces sobriety checkpoint in Williams County

BRYAN -- Drivers in Williams County will be stopped and checked at a sobriety checkpoint today, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.

The checkpoint will be held from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on U.S. 127, according to a patrol statement. The exact location was not revealed.

Funded by federal grant funds, the effort will focus on deterring and intercepting impaired drivers, the patrol said.

The patrol troopers, Williams County sheriff deputies, and Bryan police will participate.

Bryan, the seat of Williams County, is about 55 miles west of Toledo.
