A Toledo man remains in the Lucas County jail after seven kilograms of cocaine allegedly were found in the vehicle he was driving.

Jesus Dominguez-Rojas, 25, of 912 Stillman Rd. is charged with possession of and trafficking in drugs. He was arraigned Wednesday in Toledo Municipal Court; bond was set at $200,000.

According to court documents, he was stopped by an Ohio Highway Patrol trooper on I-280 in Toledo on Tuesday. The trooper reported “criminal indicators” and called for a drug-sniffing dog, which signaled drugs were in the car.

Cocaine was found inside a duffel bag on the back seat, the documents allege.

The suspect also is being held as an illegal immigrant, according to jail records.

A preliminary hearing on the drug charges is scheduled for Wednesday.
