The father of a teenaged girl, accused of asking his unlicensed daughter to drive him to the store for more beer, was arraigned Monday. Joseph Valle, 39, of 2420 Berdan Ave. is charged with child endangering and disorderly conduct while intoxicated.

He was released from the Lucas County jail on his own recognizance, according to court records. He was arrested at his home after a Toledo police officer reportedly watched the 15-year-old girl crash the car into the family home Sunday, according to court documents. Police said Mr. Valle “believed he was not presenting any risk to his daughter at the time because of his level of his intoxication.”

Lucas County Children Services spokesman Julie Malkin said the agency was not aware of the incident until an inquiry from The Blade.
