Bond was set at $1 million Wednesday for a Swanton Township man accused of fatally shooting, stabbing, and beating another man who was dating his estranged wife.

David Zielinski, 33, was arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court for aggravated murder in the death of Michael Jackson, 20. His case was continued to give him time to hire an attorney. Mr. Zielinski was in the Lucas County jail in lieu of bond.

He was arrested Tuesday at the Pilot Travel Center, 5820 Hagman Rd. in North Toledo, after being on the run since Sunday, according to Toledo police. He allegedly killed Mr. Jackson as he slept early Sunday at 1650 W. Central Ave., the home of Amber Hayes, Mr. Zielinski's wife.

The suspect showed no emotion in court, where the victim's family members were present.
