Port Clinton man dies
 in Sandusky Co. crash

FREMONT — A Port Clinton man died in a Sandusky County crash on U.S. 6 on Tuesday.

The Ohio Highway Patrol said Robby L. Adkins, 35, died at the scene of a two-vehicle crash at 8:40 a.m. in Townsend Township. Authorities said Mr. Adkins was headed east on U.S. 6 when he drove left of center and struck a west-bound semi driven by James R. Baird, 57, of Arlington, Ohio. Both vehicles went off the south side of U.S. 6.

Mr. Adkins was not wearing a seat belt, according to troopers. U.S. 6 was closed for about four hours. Mr. Baird was not hurt.
