DEERFIELD, Mich. — A Michigan man was seriously injured Sunday in a single-vehicle crash in Monroe County’s Summerfield Township.

Travis Timothy Hauser, 25, of Milan, Mich., was driving his pickup northbound on Bragg Road, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office said. At McCarty Road, authorities said, Mr. Hauser disregarded the stop sign, drove through the intersection, and crashed into a ditch along the north edge of McCarty Road at about 2:28 a.m.

Mr. Hauser’s truck straddled the ditch, facing north. Mr. Hauser was found slumped across the front bench seat, the sheriff's office said. He was not wearing a seat belt, and his vehicle was not equipped with airbags.

Mr. Hauser was flown to Toledo Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
