4 sobriety checkpoints planned for weekend in Lucas County

Area law enforcement agencies will conduct sobriety checkpoints between 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 a.m. Sunday at four locations in Lucas County.

The checkpoints will be at: Reynolds Road south of Central Avenue; on West Central Ave near Exmoor Drive; on Airport Highway east of U.S 23/I-475, and on Central Avenue west of King Road.

Each checkpoint will operate for about 90 minutes and then will move to the next location.

The checkpoints are being funded through a federal grant.
