2 charged after traffic stop in Rossford yields 676 Oxycodone pills

BOWLING GREEN – A Michigan woman and a Kentucky man were arraigned on felony drug charges Wednesday after a search during a traffic stop on I-75 near Lime City Road in Rossford turned up 676 Oxycodone pills stashed in their vehicle, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Luciana Loyd, 38, of Detroit, the driver, and Vincent Barksdale, 22, of Radcliff, Ky., her passenger, were each charged with possession and trafficking in Oxycodone, both second-degree felonies, according to the patrol's Bowling Green post. During their arraignment on those charges in Perrysburg Municipal Court, they were ordered held in the Wood County jail pending pretrial hearings Aug. 22. Her bond was set at $50,000 and his was $35,000.

Troopers stopped a 2007 Chrysler Sebring, with a Kentucky registration, for a speed violation about 2 a.m. Wednesday. A drug-sniffing dog alerted troopers to search the car, and the pills were found in the center console. The street value of the pills is estimated at $16,225.

If convicted each could face up to 16 years in prison and a $30,000 fine.
