A 10-year-old Toledo girl was hospitalized Wednesday after she was struck by a car in the central city the day before, authorities said.

Brooklyn Harris of Fulton Street was listed in critical condition at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, a hospital spokesman said.

The girl was walking to a convenience store at West Bancroft and Fulton streets about 12:40 p.m. Tuesday when she stepped off the curb and was struck by a car driven west on Bancroft by Lula King-Miles, 66, of North 12th Street, according to Toledo police.

Ms. King-Miles was not injured. There were no charges.
