BOWLING GREEN -- Bowling Green police are searching for a woman who allegedly was involved in a kidnapping and robbery of a 20-year-old Chinese man.

Police said warrants for robbery and kidnapping have been filed against Brittany J. Long of Toledo. She is wanted in connection with a Sunday incident in which a Chinese student told police he had been abducted and robbed at knifepoint.

The man told police he arranged over chat message on Saturday to meet someone for a ride to Cedar Point. He was picked up in a teal Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible about 10:30 a.m. on Sunday by a white female driver. An Asian female and white male also were in the car.

They drove to a second location in Toledo, picked up an unidentified black man, and then drove to an unoccupied house in Bowling Green. The victim told police he was led inside and robbed of his phone and wallet at knifepoint. He was held there while one of the suspects tried to use his debit card at a local business.

The group then returned to the car and drove to the Econo Lodge in Holland. The victim told police he was held there while suspects tried to obtain a ransom from Chinese relatives.

He was released around 6 p.m. and threatened not to alert police.

A police news release stated the Asian female told the victim she was abducted on Friday. Police did not know her identity or location.

Police are looking for Ms. Long, who is described as weighing 170 pounds and  standing 5 feet, 3 inches tall, with brown eyes and hair.

The car’s Ohio license plates are FYD1972.
