Two drunken-driving checkpoints are scheduled for the overnight hours today through Friday in Sandusky County.

The first, in Clyde, will start at 8 p.m. and last until 11:30 p.m. on U.S. 20.

The checkpoint will be manned by troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, officers from the Clyde Police Department, and deputies from the Sandusky County Sheriff's Office.

Another checkpoint will be held from midnight to 3 a.m. on East State Street, just east of Fremont.

The point will be staffed by troopers and deputies.

Both checkpoints are funded by federal grants and will work with additional law-enforcement crews looking for drunken drivers.
