Toledo man shot at least once in the buttocks in shootout

A Toledo man was injured today and taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in what police called a “shoot-out” with another person.

Toledo police said Anthony Nicholson, 2838 Mulberry St., was shot at least once in the buttocks as he exchanged fire with another person just before 1 p.m. today. Mr. Nicholson was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury.

Police responded to a call of a person shot and found Mr. Nicholson lying on the stairs inside a building at 3794 Manhattan Blvd. Police determined the shooting took place nearby at 3740 N. Summit St.

No one has been arrested in the incident. Mr. Nicholson is in the emergency room, and his condition was not available.
