FINDLAY — Police are investigating a report that a man grabbed a 12-year-old girl Wednesday afternoon near South West and West Front streets.

The man was described as white, possibly in his 30s, wearing a blue jacket, with tattoos on his fingers near the knuckle.

Findlay police said the girl noticed an older white box-style cargo van pull up behind her about 3:30 p.m. and then felt someone wrap his arms around her waist from behind. She told police that she was able to pull away. She was not injured.

Police said the van had rust around a wheel well, no windows on the side, and possibly two rear cargo doors.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Findlay police dispatch center, 419-424-7150 or 419-424-7163.
