Safety blitz results in 51 arrests, drug seizures

A three-day Safe Streets enforcement effort by the Toledo Police Department netted dozens of arrests and tens of thousands of dollars worth of drugs.

Between Tuesday and Thursday, officers executed 25 search warrants and arrested 26 people on various felony and misdemeanor charges, according to police.

Officers seized four guns and $3,650 in cash. Drugs confiscated included heroin valued at $24,200; marijuana ($32,990); crack cocaine ($1,810); and illicit prescription drugs worth $930.
