Man guilty of trying to make terror threats

A Toledo man who threatened to blow up a federal building pleaded no contest Wednesday to attempt to commit making terroristic threats.

Kurtis Parish, 22, of 116 E. Central Ave. was then found guilty by Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Gary Cook and sentenced to two years of community control.

Parish was ordered to spend six months at the Correctional Treatment Facility in Toledo and complete drug, alcohol, and mental health treatment.

Parish told a U.S. marshal May 22 he had been “mistreated” by the federal government and the marshals, and would blow up an unspecified federal building.
