Vehicle crashes into closed restaurant

Upscale Italian eatery, La Scola, was struck a little before 10 p.m.

A motor vehicle crashed into La Scola Italian Grille, 5375 Airport Hwy., on Monday night. Nobody was injured inside the restaurant, which closes at 9 p.m. on Mondays, a restaurant employee confirmed.

Toledo Police were on the scene at 11:30 p.m., the employee said.

According to police dispatch reports the vehicle struck the restaurant at about 9:41 p.m.

No further information was available about the vehicle’s driver or the cause of the accident.
