Police investigate East side shooting

Incident appears to be an attempted robbery, victim taken to hospital

A person was shot late today outside a carryout in East Toledo in what appears to be an attempted robbery, police said.

The victim, whose name was not available, was taken to a local hospital, according to police and fire dispatchers.

At least one person was seen running from the shooting, which was reported at 9:10 p.m.

Dispatchers said police were sent to 832 Rogers St., near Navarre Avenue. However, the shooting appears to have occurred outside the Rainbow Carryout at Rogers and Earl streets.
