Toledo police look for suspects in assault on woman, 93
9/23/2013A 93-year-old woman was robbed of her purse Sunday night at a West Toledo Kroger.
The woman, Sophie Kufel, was getting into the rear passenger side of a vehicle at 4533 Monroe St. just after 9 p.m. when someone came up behind her and grabbed the victim's purse.
The victim refused to let go and was dragged to the ground and several feet across the parking lot.
Witnesses tried to get the suspect off of Ms. Kufel, pulling the suspect out of the green hooded sweatshirt and white T-shirt the suspect was wearing.
The suspect got into the passenger side of a waiting car and fled.
The purse-snatching suspect is described as a white woman, 30 to 40 years old, about 5 feet, 4 inches, 140 pounds with blonde hair.
The second suspect, who drove the getaway vehicle, was described as a white woman, 25 to 30 years old, with brown hair.
