One person injured in I-75 crash near B.G.

BOWLING GREEN -- A Huber Heights, Ohio man was injured when a pickup truck he was driving and tractor-trailer rig collided on I-75, near Bowling Green, closing southbound lanes for about two hours, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Arthur Watson, 59, was flown to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.

Mr. Watson was driving south on the highway about mile north of State Rt. 64 in Wood County's Center Township around 5 a.m. when his pickup truck was struck in the rear by a semi driven by Brent Waddell, 41, of Macomb, Mich., according to the patrol's Bowling Green post.

Mr. Waddell was not injured, troopers said. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, according to the patrol.

No charges were filed. The crash remained under investigation.

Traffic on the highway returned to normal about 7 a.m., according to the patrol.
