A city man who was shot in the middle of the day Tuesday in North Toledo died of internal injuries, according to a Lucas County Coroner’s Office autopsy ruling released Wednesday.

Andrew J. Anderson, 31, was shot seven times, and three of those wounds caused multiple internal injuries, said Dr. James Patrick, Lucas County coroner. The death was ruled a homicide.

A neighbor found Anderson lying on the sidewalk with multiple wounds outside 1520 Elm St. at 1:23 p.m. Tuesday. He was transported to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
