BOWLING GREEN -- Authorities have identified Wayne Wyatt of Chatham, Ontario, as the man who was killed early today when the tractor-trailer rig he was driving overturned on northbound I-75 south of here.

Mr. Wyatt, 59, was pronounced dead at Wood County Hospital, where he was taken from the Portage Township accident scene, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol's Bowling Green post.

Mr. Wyatt was driving north on the highway near U.S. 6 about 5:25 a.m. when for unknown reasons the semi went off the right side of the road, struck a ditch, and overturned onto its left side, troopers said.

The northbound lanes of I-75 near U.S. 6 were closed intermittently for a few hours to allow cleanup crews to do their job, the patrol said. Traffic on the highway returned to normal later in the morning, troopers said.

The incident remained under investigation.
