BRYAN -- State troopers are seeking information about an unidentified bicyclist who rode into the path of a car and was flown to Toledo for treatment of his injuries.

The bicyclist was northeastbound on U.S. 127  just north of Bryan about 6:10 p.m. when he rode into the path of a southwest-bound car driven by Stephen J. Seibert, 66, of Findlay, troopers at the Defiance post said. The bicycle struck the car, and the cyclist was thrown to the pavement. He did not wear a helmet. He was taken to Bryan Hospital and then flown by medical helicopter to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.

Troopers were unable to identify the bicyclist. His condition was unavailable.

The bicyclist was described as white, about 300 pounds, and 5-feet, 8-inches to 5-feet, 10-inches tall. He rode a blue Trailblazer mountain bike. Troopers asked anyone with information about him to call the Defiance post.

Mr. Seibert and his passengers were treated at the scene.
