Suspect in custody for murder of Mariah Wells

Man turns in self in case of 22-year-old found dead last Wednesday.

A suspect in the murder of Mariah Wells is behind bars today. Toledo police said Dimitrias Graves was booked into the Lucas County jail at 1 a.m. Saturday after he turned himself into police late Friday night.

Ms. Wells, 22, of Newark, Ohio, was found dead, lying on the street in front of 658 Spring St., the home of her boyfriend's mother on Wednesday.

Police have charged that boyfriend, Graves, 27, of 159 Everett St., with murder and three counts of felonious assault. Another woman was shot in an eye and two other women were shot at, police said.

Graves will be arraigned Monday in Toledo Municipal Court.
