Arrest warrants have been issued for a Toledo man who authorities believe caused a fatal crash in April.

Alberto Selvera, 25, of 1157 Western Ave., is charged with one count of aggravated vehicular homicide and two counts of aggravated vehicular assault.

The warrants were issued Oct. 17, according to court records.

Mr. Selvera is charged with the April 21 crash at Western and Marion Street that killed James Steele, 57, and injured two others.

Witnesses told police that a man in a tan 1999 Chevy Tahoe was driving west on Western when the sport-utility vehicle sideswiped a car that was stopped to turn right from eastbound Western onto Marion.

The SUV then struck Mr. Steele's Chevy Blazer head-on, police said.

The driver of the Tahoe fled on foot from the scene.

Anyone with information about Mr. Selvera's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
