An unidentified man is taken out of the Volunteers of America Residential Reentry Program facility near downtown Toledo. Police said the man had been shot on Lagrange Street near North Ontario Street.

Toledo police identified the man shot in North Toledo today as Logan LeComte.

LeComte, 19, who was shot in his abdomen, was reported to be shot at 1:50 p.m.

He was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center for treatment; his condition was not available, however, police said the injuries did not appear to be life threatening.

The victim told police he was walking on North Ontrario Street, near Lagrange Street, when three men approached and picked a fight with the victim. The victim said he tried to fight back, but one of the men pulled out a gun and fired.

The teen ran home -- the address he provided is a Volunteers of America halfway house operated by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections -- and called 911.

LeComte is on parole after he pleaded guilty to assault in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

Police accused him of shooting out the window of a Toledo police cruiser while two officers were on patrol in East Toledo in January.

Anyone with information about today's shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
