Delta, Ohio woman killed in crash with ODOT truck

NEAPOLIS, Ohio -- A Delta, Ohio woman was killed when the minivan she was driving and an Ohio Department of Transportation commercial truck collided at an intersection in Fulton County's Swan Creek Township today, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Melissa Clinard, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the patrol's Toledo post.

Ms. Clinard was driving south on County Road 3 at County Road D about 8:40 a.m. when she failed to stop for the stop sign at County Road D, at which time her minivan was struck in the driver side by an ODOT truck driven by Mark Nissen, 44, of Perrysburg, troopers said.

Mr. Nissen was not injured, according to the patrol.

Both drivers wore seat belts, troopers said.

The crash remains under investigation. It occurred about three miles northwest of Neapolis, which is about 12 miles southwest of Toledo.
