Two people were injured late today in a head-on-collision on Sylvania Avenue just West of Corey Road. Sylvania Township police officials say a car and a pickup truck were involved in the crash about 5:45 p.m. and the two injured people were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The collision closed both the westbound and eastbound lanes of Sylvania Avenue for about a half hour after the incident, however, Sylvania Township police said all lanes had reopened as of 6:45 p.m., and authorities were still on the scene directing traffic.
The crash remains under investigation. The identities of those injured and the details of the collision were not immediately released.
