Man taken to hospital after shooting in Custar, Ohio

CUSTAR, Ohio -- A man was shot in this western Wood County today, authorities said.

The man, whose name was not released, was alive when he was flown to an area hospital, according to the Wood County Sheriff's Office. 

The shooting occurred about 1 p.m. at an unspecified location in Custar. The motive and the circumstances were not released and the investigation continues.

Custar is about 30 miles southwest of Toledo.
