Driver injured in single-vehicle crash in Ida Township

IDA TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- One person was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash early today in Ida Township, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's office.

The crash occurred about 2:20 a.m. on Albain Road when Joshua E. Rose, 27, of LaSalle, Mich., drove his pick up truck left of center exiting the road to the north. The vehicle entered a ditch and crashed into a cement culvert where the truck came to rest.

Mr. Rose was the sole occupant of the vehicle. His condition is currently unknown.

The crash remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff's office. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the incident.
