Officials ID teen shot 
in S. Toledo Saturday

Toledo police have identified the teenager who was shot Saturday afternoon as Myron Austin.

The Austin youth, 15, was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio, for treatment. Information about his condition was not available.

Toledo police were sent to Chorus and Carol lanes, in South Toledo, at 3:47 p.m. Saturday for a report of two people shooting at each other from inside their vehicles.

Officers pulled over a vehicle that matched one of the descriptions and had a shattered front-passenger window. The driver told police his brother had gotten out of the car after the shooting and ran.

Police found the Austin youth nearby and called for an ambulance.

No arrests have been made.
