Police investigating shooting of man in face

An incident in which a man was shot in the face late Monday at a house in East Toledo remained under investigation Tuesday, authorities said.

Tyrone Cleveland, whose age and address were not released, was taken to Mercy St. Charles Hospital, according to Toledo police. A hospital spokesman said his condition was unavailable. Police said the man’s injuries were likely not life threatening.

Police found the victim about 11:40 p.m. Monday on the porch of a house on Garfield Place suffering from a gunshot wound to the face, police said. The victim was able to tell police he was shot inside the house by an unidentified person who fled.

No arrests have been made.
