Toledo police are asking for the public’s help to find those responsible for a shooting that left one man dead and another injured on Aug. 22, 2011, in the central city.

Christopher Lawrence, 39, of Rockingham Street was pronounced dead at Toledo Hospital; he was shot in the back of the head, police said.

Kennie Brown of Tecumseh Street, who was 22 at the time of the attack, was treated at Toledo Hospital for nonlife-threatening injuries.

The shooting occurred about 9:20 p.m. outside a residence in the 1300 block of Foster Avenue.

One victim was in a pickup, and a second man was outside the truck in a driveway at 1363 Foster Ave. when the shooting occurred.

At least one person — and possibly as many as three — was seen approaching the victims on foot before the attack, authorities said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stopper program.

Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.
