A Tennessee man accused in the murder of a woman in 1997 was arrested over the weekend in the Knights Inn motel in Rossford, authorities said.

Adolphus Hollingsworth, 54, of Chattanooga, is being held in the Wood County Justice Center, Bowling Green.

Rossford police and members of the Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Mr. Hollingsworth about noon Saturday after receiving information he might be in the motel with friends.

According to the U.S. Marshals Service, he was arrested on Friday in Amarillo, Texas, on a first-degree murder charge in the ’97 death of his estranged wife, Victoria Hollingsworth, and was mistakenly released from a jail there.
