One inbound lane of Anthony Wayne Trail reopens

Crews clear water and ice from the Anthony Wayne Trail near Glendale Avenue in Toledo following a water main break early today.

One lane of the inbound Anthony Wayne Trail reopened today about noon after a water main break early today.

Both lanes between Detroit Avenue and Harvard Boulevard  were closed early today because of a water main break at Glendale Avenue.

City crews had shut the water off and were working to clear ice from the roadway.

The break was reported about 1:40 a.m. Police closed the Trail about 4 a.m. and posted a detour using Detroit and South Avenue. 

The water main break also has disrupted water service to customers in nearby South Toledo neighborhoods, according to a call-taker at the Toledo Department of Public Utilities.
