Three people were taken to Toledo Hospital after a five-vehicle crash Friday on Dorr Street near Byrne Road.

Brian Rosenburg, 22, of Rome, Ohio, was listed in critical condition at the hospital Friday but upgraded later to serious condition, a spokesman said.

The crash was reported at 1:06 p.m. and shut down Dorr between Byrne and Secor Road.

Police said Mr. Rosenburg was driving very fast on Dorr when his sport-utility vehicle rear-ended a Dodge Neon driven by Judith Crawford, 47, of Toledo, and forced it into a Lexus sport-utility vehicle driven by Harriet Grier, 64, of Toledo. Ms. Crawford had to be freed from her car. She and Ms. Grier were taken to Toledo Hospital. Ms. Crawford was listed in critical condition late Friday; Ms. Grier was treated at the hospital and later released.

After the initial crash, Mr. Rosenburg's SUV also struck a northbound pickup truck, which was stopped for the light in an adjacent lane. The crash forced Ms. Grier's SUV across the intersection and into a car.
