Three West Toledo businesses have been robbed since Monday night, police said.

Family Video at 5886 Dorr St. was robbed at 4:20 p.m. Monday.

According to a police report, a man went into the store and, when all of the other customers were gone, approached the counter and gave the clerk a note demanding cash.

The clerk complied and gave the suspect an undetermined amount of cash. He fled in a gold-colored four-door Honda, according to a police report.

The suspect is described as white, in his 20s, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 160 pounds, with brown hair. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, white shoes, and a black hat.

At 9:18 p.m., the In & Out Mart at 5830 Douglas Rd. was robbed by a man who held a yellow rag to his face and pointed a black handgun at the store employee.

The employee told police she walked into the store from the back room when she heard a door bell ring and saw the suspect bent over in an aisle. The suspect stood, pointed the gun at the clerk's face, and yelled, "Give me the money. Get back there. You got five seconds," according to a police report.

The clerk gave the suspect an undetermined amount of money and he fled in a small gray vehicle.

The suspect is described as white, 25-years-old, about 6 feet tall, 185 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a brown coat, tan pants, black baseball hat, and black gloves.

The Douglas Road convenience store was also robbed on Jan. 21.

Early today, at 12:25 a.m., J & D Side Trip, 1534 W. Sylvania Ave., was robbed by a man with a knife, police reported.

An employee at the bar told officers she believes the suspect from the robbery today is the same person who robbed the West Toledo watering hole on Jan. 21.

During the robbery today, an employee told police that a knife-wielding suspect came into the bar using a back door. The suspect demanded cash and then demanded more after the bartender complied.

The suspect told the employee, "You know the other guy wouldn't have gotten hurt if he would have just let me do what I was doing," referring to a man who was stabbed during the January hold up.

"Don't do anything stupid," the robber said, according to a police report. "If I get caught I'm not doing four years. I know who who you are. I will come back to get you."

The suspect is described as white and was last seen wearing a black Carhart jacket, gray shirt, a bandanna, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes. Witnesses said the suspect had "bushy" eyebrows, is very skinny, had dark circles under his eyes, and has a long face.

It was not clear if any of the robberies were related.
