A Sylvania Township man accused of robbing a West Toledo convenience store and a Monroe County credit union was arraigned today.

Brandon Goss, 27, of 5878 Artwell Dr., is charged in Toledo Municipal Court with one count of aggravated robbery. He was ordered to remain in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $100,000 for the hold-up at In & Out Mart, 5830 Douglas Rd.

The Toledo robbery for which Mr. Goss is a suspect was reported Monday.

Police said a man went into the store, pointed a gun at an employee and demanded cash. The suspect then fled.

The bank robbery at Education Plus Credit Union, 3558 Sterns Rd., in Monroe County was reported to the sheriff's office there on Wednesday.

A lone gunman went into the credit union at 3:30 p.m. and demanded cash. He fled in a gray Chevrolet Impala.

After the Monroe County Sheriff's Office released a photo of the suspect to the media, he was identified as Mr. Goss.

Thursday morning, deputies and officers from Sylvania Township, Toledo, and Monroe County arrested Mr. Goss on a burglary charge pending in Sylvania Municipal Court.

Officials said they searched the suspect and found “a large sum of money” which was later determined to be taken from the credit union.

Officers later went to the suspect's home and reportedly found more evidence linking him to the robberies, although officials did not elaborate on what that evidence was.

Monroe County officials said they intend to file armed robbery charges against Mr. Goss. He will have to be extradited to Michigan for court proceedings there.
