Toledo police are hoping someone can help them find those responsible for a shooting 2½ years ago that left one Toledo man dead and another injured in the central city.

The shooting occurred about 9:20 p.m. Aug. 22, 2011, outside a residence in the 1300 block of Foster Avenue.

Christopher Lawrence, 39, of Rockingham Street was pronounced dead of his wounds at Toledo Hospital. Kennie Brown, 22, of Tecumseh Street was treated at Toledo Hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Christopher Lawrence was shot in the back of the head, police said.

One of the victims was in a pickup, and a second man was outside the truck in a driveway at 1363 Foster Ave. when the shooting occurred, officers said.

At least one person was seen approaching the victims on foot before the shooting, and possibly as many as three, authorities said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stopper program. Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.
