Man wanted for Monroe Bank robbery

MONROE — Authorities are looking for a Monroe man in the robbery of a Frenchtown Township bank branch Friday afternoon.

A statement from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office identified David Nadeau as the suspect in the 4:18 p.m. robbery of Monroe Bank & Trust, 1204 N. Monroe St. The statement said a lone man entered the bank, demanded money from a teller, and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in a dark-colored Jeep. The robber was described as a white male with a mustache and beard. No one was hurt.

Mr. Nadeau has multiple felony warrants for his arrest and is wanted for questioning in another armed robbery that occurred in Monroe, Sheriff Dale Monroe said.
