The trial of a former athletic trainer at Clay High School charged with sexual misconduct with two teen-aged boys has been postponed until June 9.

Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Gary Cook delayed the trial of Melinda Rober, 36, of 2552 106th St., at the request Wednesday of her attorney, Stephen Hartman, who said he needed more time to prepare, in light of a new indictment filed against Ms. Rober.

She was initially indicted last May on two counts of sexual battery for incidents involving a 17-year-old boy that allegedly occurred in 2011 and 2012. An additional count of sexual battery was filed Feb. 21 for an alleged incident involving a 16-year-old boy in 2011.
