FREMONT — Fremont police are investigating an apparent stabbing incident of two people who were found after authorities responded to a call of trouble Friday.

The pair, whose names and genders were not released, were initially taken to ProMedica Memorial Hospital in Fremont, and were then flown to a Toledo hospital, according to Fremont police.

One of the two had puncture wounds to the torso and neck, police said.

The two were found about 2:20 a.m. Friday at Howland Street and North Ohio Avenue, suffering from the wounds, officers said in a written statement. It was unclear whether the two were found inside or outside.

The incident was being investigated as stabbing and assault, according to police. Authorities late Friday did not provide additional details.
