Toledo police are asking for help in solving a double homicide 31 months ago at a central-city home.

Andrew Baker, 28, and Tanja Cathey, 28, were found dead Sept. 29, 2011, at their home in the 2200 block of Sanford Street. A 2-year-old boy was found alive in the home, according to police.

Baker was shot in the back of the neck and was found on the living room floor. Ms. Cathey, his longtime girlfriend, was dead in an upstairs bedroom, according to authorities. She suffered two gunshot wounds: to the right side of her head and to her neck, according to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office.

Police said neighbors reported hearing two series of gunshots about 6 a.m. that day. The crime doesn’t appear to have been random, according to police.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Crime Stopper program.
