Findlay man injured in motorcycle crash

FINDLAY -- A motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital today after crashing into a car and being ejected from the bike, according to Hancock County sheriff's deputies.

Roger Stewart, 56, was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital with "unknown injuries," officials said. A spokesman at the hospital had no information about the victim's condition.

Officials reported that Mr. Stewart was driving his motorcycle northbound on St. Rt. 186 when he drove into the back of a car which had slowed down as a vehicle in front of him turned right onto County Road 97. Mr. Stewart, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle. No other injuries were reported in the 1:25 p.m. crash.

Mr. Stewart was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
