Police ID victim of Saturday shooting
5/12/2014Toledo police have identified Deontae Brown as the person shot on Macomber Street near Isherwood Street over the weekend.
The 18-year-old suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the torso; he was conscious when police arrived. Paramedics took the youth to ProMedica Toledo Hospital. A hospital spokesman said today she had no information about a patient by that name.
The shooting occurred about 4:50 p.m. Saturday in the 1700 block of Macomber, police said. Shell casings were recovered at the scene.
The victim told police he was in front of 1762 Macomber when two unknown males came from behind the house and started shooting.
The suspects were described by witnesses as being black males wearing all black. No other descriptions were provided. Police ask that anyone with information call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
