Another South Toledo convenience store was robbed Monday night, adding to a string of similar incidents in the neighborhood.

The Monday robbery, reported at 9:25 p.m., happened at Stop N Go, 1256 Broadway. According to a police incident report, two men armed with guns rushed into the store; one of the suspects pointed his gun at the clerk and said, “Give me all the money or I will shoot you.” After getting an undetermined amount of cash, the suspects fled on foot.

The clerk told police that he was hit on his head and was suffering a seizure; he was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Because the employee was hospitalized, a suspect description was not immediately available.

Toledo police said “multiple” South Toledo businesses have been robbed by two armed men in the past couple of weeks, including a weekend incident.

The hold-up at Stop ‘N Go, 1409 Western Ave., was reported Friday, according to an incident report. Police were told that two men, who were wearing masks and carrying guns, went into the store at 11:33 p.m.. One of the suspects jumped the counter and demanded all of the cash from a clerk. The second suspect ordered, at gunpoint, the employees and another man to the floor and demanded money.

The suspects fled with more than $5,500 cash. Police believe the pair may be responsible for other, unspecified, South Side robberies as well.

The first suspect is described by police as black, 18 years old, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, sweatpants, boots, and mask. The second suspect is described in a police report as black, 6 feet, 1 inch tall, 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, black shoes, and wore a black T-shirt over his face.
