Man found dead in Plum Creek

MONROE — A possible drowning in Plum Creek remained under investigation Thursday, Monroe police said.

The victim, a 47-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. His name was being withheld pending notification of his family.

The man was found face-down in the creek near his residence about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to a police statement.

Once he was pulled from the creek, CPR and other life saving measures failed, police said. An autopsy was pending.
